What We Use in the Program:
Our textbook series include: Laubach Way to Reading (New Readers Press), Ventures (Cambridge), Foundations (Pearson Longman) and various supplemental textbooks and workbooks, as well as a host of supplemental materials.
Our textbooks utilize an interdisciplinary approach which incorporates many topics whose information and vocabulary are vital to understanding the numerous aspects of life in the United States. Some of these include:math, geography, weather, holidays, foods, transportation, work, health, shopping, jobs and daily time management. Besides computers, our teachers make use of the smartboard and the audio/video components of the textbook series.
We encourage our students to make small, attainable goals each month and applaud them when these are reached!
